Venus is reckoned, by me, to be the alchemy of water into fire, literally the desire for union with.

Neptune is reckoned to be the alchemy of fire into water, literally the feeling of self arising from sharing the objective facts subjectively.

The complementary natures of Venus and Neptune, as processes, mean that they reinforce one another, and we might expect the individual with Venus conjunct Neptune to possess an above average ability to love and care, usually endowing them with great charisma, and/or sex appeal, or the opposite - because of the circular nature of the chart, it can equally be that others are experienced as being ultra-attractive. However, the indication with Planetary Pairs is that of some extraordinary ability, or lack thereof.
