Jill Attlee Wakefield and Jack Dudley's background

(wikitree) Jill Attlee Wakefield was at one time a debutante, and a first cousin twice removed of former Prime Minister Clement Attlee. In 1956, at 25, she married John A Langford Lewis, and in 1964 was delivered of twin boys - three weeks later John was dead in a car crash. It seems babies Alexander and Marcus were registered as both Langford Lewis and as Attlee Lewis. In early 1972 Jill married Jack Dudley, and by that August baby Lucinda was born, but sadly died in the Autumn of 1972. By the end of the following year, 1973, baby Amanda was born, and in March 1976 came Oliver, the last of her children.

Jack Dudley was round about 22 years older than Jill, and it turned out that he had no love, and not even kindness for his stepsons. Eventually they were made to live in a shed in the grounds of their almost grand home

Jill Attlee Wakefield and Jack Dudley remained married until Jack Dudley died in 1990, and in early 1994 Jill Attlee Wakefield had a haemorrhage, and died one year later in early 1995.

Eventually it was revealed that Jill Attlee Wakefield was both hypersexual, and sexually abusive to all her male children, including by pimping the elder two at least to her adult male acquaintances.

There is no doubt that Jill Attlee Wakefield, and Jack Dudley had an unusual and intense relationship, and as such it seemed inevitably that they would demonstrate some very extreme astrological patterns, as proved to be the case.

Unfortunately, as is often the case, not all dates, and no times, are known, so we have to make do with what is known. It should be bourne in mind that sometimes even approximate dates can be somewhat informative, especially as outer planets move so slowly. However, we do have birth dates for both Jill Attlee Wakefield and Jack Dudley, and death dates for him. I have made an educated guess for her birth time, quite an important data point, using 1:20 am to give a Pisces ascendant. This brings the Moon and Uranus together, which seems very appropriate given that her first husband died when Pluto was in mid-Virgo.

What makes Jill Attlee Wakefield and Jack Dudley such a great example?

Jill Attlee Wakefield and Jack Dudley

The most important thing to notice is that she has a conjunction of Jupiter and Pluto, while he has a conjunction of Venus and Neptune, and that both of these conjunctions are of the vicious circle type [we could say virtuous circle as well], also they are close to one another in Cancer. She also has a loose Mars Neptune conjunction, complementing his Venus Neptune, and she likely has a Moon Uranus conjunction that is possibly even exact, and is close to his Saturn, while his Uranus is pretty much conjunct her Saturn, opposite the powerful conjunctions in Cancer. This must make for a very intense relationship, if not downright kinky given what transpired.

NB. Not all of the conjunctions show up under my strict 2 degree rule, but my observation of astrology in practice is that often a less accurate conjunction can emphasise the relationship between two people as together they bring tose planets into closer alignment. Here I am thinking od Peter Sellers and Spike Milligan, or Chris Cornell and Andrew Wood.

Jill Attlee Wakefield and their Relationship with Jack Dudley

The composite of the birth charts of Jill Attlee Wakefield and Jack Dudley form the chart of the relationship, and as such the chart shows Sun loosely conjunct Venus by 4 degrees, and her Sun nearly conjunct the Venus, and his Sun possibly conjunct the composite Moon, however lack of times make this by no means certain. But more than this we see Mercury conjunct Mars, square Uranus conjunct Saturn, Uranus Saturn being a key feature of their synastry as conjunctions just outside my 2 degree rule - and as square to one another, the squares between Saturn and Uranus being a feature of both of their birth charts individually. These many and reciprocal Saturn Uranus connections must have made their relationship compelling for both of them. We'll see how his Pluto conjuncts the composite Sun, so we might conclude that he was experiencing the relationship as a power dynamic, while she saw it as a desire dynamic, and itself the relationship held a question about what could be done, perhaps how far things could be pushed, and then on top of that the overwhelming connections between Saturn and Uranus.

Saturn and Uranus make just as likely bedfellows as any other planetary pairing, but in Jack and Jill's case the connection is extreme, being reciprocal at every level - individual, interpersonal, and relational. So what do they do together? A lot has been written about Saturn, often equated with the Devil, but for me Saturn is a process that we do whenever we sense any reality, including the realities of differences in class or wealth. Jack was an accountant, Jill was a debutante, but not personally wealthy, there were differences there, to be sure. Uranus is not well understood in Astrology generally, but for me is like Saturn a function of knowing, but where the source is fact, not reality. So with Uranus we get knowing from memory, and knowing from deduction. It seems then that the astrology is telling us that Jack and Jill are both driven by difficult memories of being different, by wealth, class, and perhaps sex/gender also.

Alex & Marcus Lewis and Oliver Dudley's background

This next part is currently incomplete, because I am waiting for delivery of the book of what actually happened to the twins. However, it is obviously a brilliant astrological example so far, even without therest of the story, so I am putting this page, as it is, out on the website, and will add to it in due course.

Alex & Marcus Lewis are the twin sons of Jill Attlee Wakefield and her first husband John A Langford Lewis, although the book throws some doubt on their paternity. Also, it is not over-abundant with dates, but does state that their birthday is at the end of January, so for the purposes of charts here I will be using midday on the 31st 1964.

Oliver Dudley is the son of Jill Attlee Wakefield and her second husband Jack Dudley

Jill Attlee Wakefield is alleged to have sexually abused all three boys, and pretty certainly the elder two who were also handed around her male acquaintances for sexual exploitation until 1978 when they were 14.

Unfortunately, as is often the case, no accurate dates are known, and no timesat all, so we have to make do with what is known. It should be bourne in mind that sometimes even approximate dates can be somewhat informative, especially as outer planets move so slowly.

What we do know is that the twins were registered [twice it seems] in the first quarter of 1964, as was the death of their father who apparently died in a car crash 3 weeks after their birth. Roughly making it 21 February.

Their younger brother was born in March 1976 and it is certainly the case that following their mother's death in 1995, all three sons entered therapy to try to deal with the complex emotions that raised.

In 1982, when the twins were 18, two major events occurred, their grandmother Rosalind died in the Spring, and Alex fell off the back of a motorcycle, it seems in May, or if their book is accurate, the last day of July. He was in a coma which he didn't come out of until some time in August, at which point he had lost all memory, except of his brother Marcus. Apparently Rosalind was buried in Rudgwick, the village where Jill and her family lived.

It is also the case that Jill Attlee Wakefield suffered a haemorrage in early 1994, when due to take the twins out for a birthday meal, either on or shortly before their birthday, and that this was almost exactly one year before her death in early 1995. From this we can surmise that the haemorrage and death were either in January or February, and it so happens that there were significant transits for her, from the outer planets, for the entire time. We could choose a number of potential dates for the events, but though it would be nice to know, it is better to concentrate on what id fairly definite, i.e. the outer planets. So when I pick 15 February, it is only to show the outer planets, and one possible set out of quite a few likely candidates, of the other planets.

We see not a lot of connections between Alex and Marcus, and their mother, which is not surprising, because their birth was at a difficult time for her, we assume, it being the death of her first husband. What we do see is squares to Venus, showing a difficulty in the expression of love as the desire for closeness.

Alex & Marcus Lewis and the death of Jill Attlee Wakefield

The death of Jill Attlee Wakefield was a major turning point for the twins, and the most traumatic for Alex bcause he did not remember any earlier trauma - although he was clearly still affected by earlier events, on some level. For Marcus it also led to a period when he had to confront the suppressed memories of their troubled childhood.

Rosalind Attlee and Harold Wakefield's background

Jill's Parents

Rosalind Attlee was the mother of Jill Attlee Wakefield. Rosalind's father was a cousin of former Prime Minister Clement Attlee

Harold Wakefield was the father of Jill Attlee Wakefield.

Jill Attlee Wakefield is alleged to have sexually abused all of her sons, and so in the interests of completeness it is necessary to look at her family background to see if there is any explanation for her behaviour.

What makes Rosalind Attlee and Harold Wakefield such a great example?

Given that Rosalind had Pluto trine her Sun, the fact of her Mars being conjunct Jill's Pluto is an indication that the mother's way of doing things gave Jill her lessons in power - not necessarily what is recommended for a little girl. But in Jill's case it is not just her Pluto, it is her Jupiter as well, and it is quite apparent from her other astrological connections that this was the most crucial of all features for her.

Pluto and Jupiter make a vicious/virtuous circle of elemental Fire and Earth, so there is power and direct awareness of difference, often the physicality of sexual difference, but also money and class. However, these latter two seem less likely as differences within a family setting.

The square from his Mars to her Jupiter Saturn opposition suggests that he affected her by being uninvolved, by not doing anything to intervene with whatever her mother was doing. Somehow, this supports the trine from her Saturn to her Chiron, which is very loosely trine her Saturn, so that it develops into a hunger for sensation.

It doesn't really matter whether my interpretations of the planets are accurate or not. The impressive thing about the Attlee/Wakefield/Lewis/Dudley story is that it is an extreme story, and so many astrological features combine to make it an extreme astrological example. Those two points make it supportive of Astrology in general, which is the entire point of these examples, as supporting Astrology supports the thesis of Virtualism and what it tells us about life, which is the whole object of the exercise.
