Venus and Chiron

Venus is reckoned to be the alchemy of water into fire, literally the creation of truth in accordance with desire. By itself this usually manifests as attraction or attractiveness, a desire to make or be made a part of someone's awareness. Often that leads to romantic love, with many forms of expression.

Chiron is reckoned to be the alchemy of earth into water, literally the creation of self in accordance with difference.

The complementary natures of Venus and Chiron, as processes, means that Chiron tends to be the driving force behind Venus. Chiron translates difference, and usually that means changes to some reality, and creates water, i.e. alters the self, generally by causing a gap, some space that the self cannot know, it being an emptiness, but can only feel via those parts of the self that are not empty. That want, that lack, then pushes Venus to desire some factual truth to fill the void, sometimes with love, but just as easily it could be with beauty, and if things turn sour it could be jealousy and hate that fill your heart. When Venus and Saturn occupy the same place in the birthchart, the result will be seen in one of the fundamentals of childhood, for instance, it could be the absence of one or other parent. However, the indication with Planetary Pairs is of some extraordinary ability, or lack thereof.
