The Earth and Saturn

The Earth is reckoned, by me, to be the alchemy of air into earth, literally the differentiation of icons within the mind, that consequently of that separation, arrange or rearrange, the subjective perception of the world, including the world of the imagination in its role of reflecting spirit in the mind, often as memory.

Saturn is reckoned to be the alchemy of earth into air, literally the perception of difference in the world as icons, often as a consequence of receiving photons into the body, and thereby sensing what is around us. Saturn is the other half of memory, as its perception of spirit difference is as much a function of sensing difference, as is the function of Uranus sensing sameness of spirit. The sensing is just putting icons into the mind, and with Saturn those icons are about differences.

The complementary natures of the Earth and Saturn, as processes, mean that they reinforce one another, and we might expect the individual with Saturn conjunct the Earth, the Ascendant in traditional astrological terms, to possess a precision of mind that allows them to categorise their experience with ease, i.e. possess a good memory, and Virgo-like attention to detail. Or, depending on the orientation of the rest of the chart, the reverse may be true. However, the indication with Planetary Pairs is of some extraordinary ability, or lack thereof.

It is an unfortunate fact of doing Astrology, that many people take no notice of the times that events occur, and without the time of birth, it is impossible to be certain of someone's Ascendant, their planet Earth in their chart. This makes this list shorter than it really should be.

Also, there is an inherent bias to be aware of; in all such lists, the origin of the data is generally from among the famous. This does not invalidate it, but is something to take notice of.
