Annette Herfkens was a 31 year old woman on Vietnam Airlines Flight 474 on 14 Novenber 1992, when it crashed, killing all on board except Annette. Despite her injuries she managed to survive for 8 days until found by her rescuers - they had never sen or heard of a white person, or one with blue eyes, and so initially assumed that Annette must have been a ghost.

Note. Annette was born with a close opposition of Pluto and Chiron, conjunct her North and South Nodes. This proved to be very relevent for the precise time of the crash.

What makes Annette Herfkens such a great example?

As stated, the opposition of Pluto and Chiron was important, because at the time of the crash, which is known precisely, the Ascendant - the Earth - was exactly square both Annette's natal Pluto and Chiron, also transiting Chiron was conjunct her natal Uranus, while Pluto was square it. Not only all that, which was a once in a lifetime configuration, but it was also her Mars return.
