Joni Mitchell is a star singer-songwriter, well known for Big Yellow Taxi, Woodstock, Both Sides Now, and a host of other brilliant songs. What is less well known, maybe, is that at 21 she had to put her daughter up for adoption. That decision appears [with hindsight] to have been part of the motivation for her songwriting creativity.

Of course it would be fairly futile to consider the whole of a chart for an unknown conception date, but of interest in this case are the positions of Pluto and Neptune, and these two are so slow moving that we can take notice of their significant positions 9 months prior to Joni's daughter's birth. Also Jupiter, because it spends a year in each sign, can also be considered as moving opposite to Joni's Sun and Mercury, throughout the pregnancy.
