What makes Isle of Man TT such a great example?
First run on 28 May 1907, the Isle of Man TT is a series of motorcycle road races ridden over 37 demanding miles. Just as it has claimed many lives, it has given us many heroes who each contribute to the legend of the three-legged island, but many of whom have suffered serious accidents there.
What is remarkable with the following astrological examples is how closely some of their accidents demonstrate transits in action, especially of Mars, and the clear destiny of these riders to be taking part in this historic spectacle where they have the opportunity to pit themselves and their machines against the course, injury, and sometimes even death. In this they are much like the mountaineers described previously.
What is even more remarkable is the way that all bar one of these riders (the exception being William Dunlop) relate astrologically to that inaugural race way back in 1907, years before they were born. This is not dissimilar to the way that (me being a computer programmer an' all) I connect to the first computer program run on 21 June 1948, through having natal Saturn where Jupiter was back then, 10 years before I was born.
Ian Hutchinson - Racing at the Isle of Man TT
A BBC article led to me looking at Ian Hutchinson, who turns out to be another great example: Born 12 August 1979, he had a major smash at the Isle of Man TT on 9 June 2017 shortly after 1:45pm.
Transiting Mars closely conjunct natal Mars, Venus square Mercury, sextile Mars, Sun sextile Sun, Moon conjunct Neptune, all very close. The key point we can take from Ian's accident is that it happened on his Mars return. So, while he certainly had other accidents, this particular one was the most astrologically significant.
On 4 June, Hutchinson had won the Superbike TT race. On 7 June he won the Superstock TT race, his 16th TT victory. He may win again one day, but hasn't yet, as at the time of writing this.
We might also think that the Moon on his natal retrograde Neptune shows an extra emotional input to the situation, maybe encouraging a greater rashness in his desire to win. The theory being that the retrograde planet functions in reverse, so retrograde Neptune is more like Venus, and so susceptible to the emotion produced by the Moon from the reality of the situation. Or maybe we should see Moon on Neptune as the aftermath of the accident, with emotional upset at the reality and the meaning of the moment. As always interpretation is a tricky art, and the only certainty, apart from Ian's broken leg, is that the transits were as they were.

Monday 27 September 2010 it was reported that he broke his leg, ridden over by another rider at Silverstone, with Pluto opposite (other rider) his Mars, and Sun just past square, would have been closer square the Saturday and Sunday .
On the Wednesday morning before 1 Feb 2011 he broke his leg at a London motorcycle show. So, 26 January was the date of that accident. .
Guy Martin - Another Isle of Man TT Racer
Motorcycle racer and TV personality, Guy Martin, is himself no stranger to either the TT, and as Ian Hutchinson's rival, no stranger to accidents.
He went to the Isle of Man TT, looking to achieve his first TT victory. However, the meeting was dominated by Ian Hutchinson, who took a record-breaking five victories in all the solo races, and Martin suffered serious injuries in a major crash in the final race.
Recollecting the crash in 2012, Martin recounted how he had been pushing too hard going into the corner at 160-170 mph, having willingly crossed the line [which if you push beyond you might crash] in order to win. He recalled being thrown from the bike and accepting he was not going to survive the approaching high speed impact with a wall, attributing it to luck that he hit it at the right angle to get away with it.
Airlifted to Noble's Hospital in Douglas with chest injuries, he was later diagnosed as suffering bruising to both lungs and minor fractures to his upper spine. - Wikipedia

2015 Ulster Grand Prix Crash
Guy Martin's worst crash, the one that caused the most damage, came on 6 August 2015 in the Ulster Grand Prix at Dundrod.
Martin crashed at high speed when leading the 2015 Dundrod 150 Superbike race (part of the Ulster GP) in August. On the final lap, being pursued by Bruce Anstey, he left the course at Ireland's Corner, fracturing thoracic vertebrae, his sternum and a number of ribs and his throttle hand, requiring steel rods to be inserted into his back and a pin in his hand. He signed himself out of hospital four days later. - Wikipedia
