What makes Maximilien Robespierre such a great example?

Maximilien Robespierre proved the old maxim - those that live by the guillotine, die by the guillotine. Not only was he instrumental in the execution of the French king, Louis XVI, and his wife Marie Antoinette, plus thousands of others, but he too was executed once his co-revolutionaries realized that he was a danger to them as well.

The French Revolution took place between 1789 and 1799 and was accompanied by transits of Pluto through Aquarius - from December 1778 to December 1798, of Uranus through the opposite sign of Leo - from July 1788 to September 1794, and of Saturn through Taurus - from June 1792 to April 1795, the peak of the Terror. The pinnacle of Pluto's transit through Aquarius would have been through the middle decan, it being elemental fire, from December 1784 to March 1790.

The Terror

The astounding thing about Maximilien Robespierre's execution, quite apart from how brutal it was, and how it brought to an end the year long bloodshed known as the Terror, is the way in which the key planets of the revolution, Uranus and Saturn, all align so closely, and so personally for Maximilien Robespierre, while Pluto seems to have deserted him by ceasing to aspect anythin precisely.

The transits at the time of Maximilien Robespierre's execution were

The chart shown is Maximilien Robespierre's birthchart, together with transits for the day of his revelatory experience around the outside. Aspect lines [traditional] are between the transits and his birthchart.

In the chart shown here, the inner chart is of the birth of Maximilien Robespierre, while the outer shows the time of his execution in 1794. He was the 10th person guillotined following a 6pm start, so the transits have been set for 7pm.

The transits at his execution have Pluto near his Ascendant, the Moon, Mercury and Uranus, all precisely conjunct his Descendant, while Saturn is square both of these. Also Chiron and the North Node are conjunct his natal Mars. There are numerous other details, but really, those listed are quite amazing enough on their own.
