John Adams' and Thomas Jefferson's background

John Adams was the second president of the United States of America. Thomas Jefferson was the third president of the United States of America. They were at one time good friends, fell out during the election of 1800, were partially instrumental in the Marbury v Madison case that saw the birth of Judicial Review in 1803. Thereafter they became friends again, but most surprisingly, especially for students of Astrology, like cricketers Rod Marsh and Shane Warne , they coincidentally both died on the same day.

Whenever we discover a good coincidence there is potential for some meaningful connection, hence some pertinent astrology, and this case does not disappoint. The connection is that the basis of their friendship was also, as individual features, involved in the circumstances of their deaths.

There is one glaring 'elephant' with such a good example, and that is the question of Free Will; did John Adams have any Free Will in influencing his own time of death, or for that matter the events throughout his life?

Note. John Adams was born with Neptune trine Pluto.

Note. Thomas Jefferson was born with Venus opposite Pluto.

Thomas Jefferson and John Adams

The combination of oppositions and trines gave these two presidents the opportunity to be friends, to fall out, and to reconcile. But, I'd say that these same features being aligned led to a probability of dying on the same day.

John Adams's Sun receives a conjunction from Mars, while his neptune receives a conjunction from Saturn. But while the traditional malefics afflict him directly, his natal Pluto receives transiting squares from Mercury and Uranus - the same squares that transit Thomas Jefferson's Sun, that itself stood in opposition to Thomas Jefferson's Pluto.

The opposition of Venus and Pluto in Thomas Jefferson's birthchart comes under immense pressure from Venus, Mars and Neptune, in the irresistable manner of trines and sextiles, whereas his natal Sun receives transiting squares from Mercury and Uranus - the same squares that transit John Adams's Pluto, that itself stood in opposition to Thomas Jefferson's Sun.
