The Crimea's background

The Crimea is that region of Ukraine that sticks out into the Black Sea, once known as the Tauric Peninsula, and a part of the Ottoman Empire from the 15th Century, and was annexed by Russia in 1783, after the Russo-Turkish War (1768-1774). Famously it the scene of the Crimean War from 1853 to 1857, while Russia was ruled by Tsar Nikolay I, and it was occupied by Germany during World War II. In 1954, the USSR transferred the oblast to the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic, and it has been under Russian occupation since 2014 when it became a key test for Vladimir Putin, for his ability to invade Ukraine in 2022.

What makes The Crimea such a great example?

The events discussed all relate to the transits of Uranus through Taurus, before and since its discovery in 1781, particularly with reference to it reaching the middle decan and that 10 to 13:20 block that is fire of water of earth of water, itself a unique elemental code that theory suggests is particularly significant in regard to Uranus producing air from fire in a context conducive to war. Note Napoleon Bonaparte's birth with Uranus at 11 Taurus.

The focus of much of what follows is Vladimir Putin , as it is he who is driving the current war in Ukraine as he attempts to reconscruct the Soviet era USSR, and Putin can also be considered in relation to his predecessor, Tsar Nikolay I, the ruler of Russia at the time of the Crimean War, and whose death led to the end of that war.

Generally in regard to Uranus

Looking back, there have been a series of Russo-Turkish wars, and guess what 1686 was one such, and another with Uranus at 11 Taurus. To place this in context listed are other significant conflicts affecting Ukraine/Crimea. Uranus spends approximately 7 years in each sign.

Prior to the Crimean War of 1853-1856, Uranus was in that particular part of Taurus at the following times:

16 June 1769 to 20 October 1769

July 20 - Recently appointed as the Governor of Spanish Louisiana, Irish-born soldier of fortune Alejandro O'Reilly sails into the French fort of La Balize with 21 Spanish ships, along with 2,056 soldiers, cannons and ammunition, and informs French Louisiana Governor Charles Philippe Aubry of his royal commission to take Louisiana on behalf of the King of Spain.

August 15 - Napoleon Bonaparte is born ()

September 10 - Russo-Turkish War (1768-74): Russian forces take the Ottoman fortress of Chocim in Bukovina. ()

October 9 - In the first encounter between the Maori people and Europeans (at the future site of Gisborne, New Zealand), one Maori is shot and killed after he steals a sword from one of the officers of the Cook expedition. Several more Maori are killed in fighting the next day.

6 April 1770 to 3 June 1770

May 7 - Fourteen-year-old Marie Antoinette arrives at the French court. ()

May 16 - Marie Antoinette marries Louis-Auguste (who later becomes King Louis XVI of France).

May 20 - A stampede, at a celebration of the newly wedded Marie Antoinette and Louis-Auguste in Paris, kills more than a hundred people.

13 Nov 1770 to 24 March 1771 (turning direct on 20 January 1771)

17810313 Discovery of Uranus

The planet Uranus with its 84 year orbit, transiting through Taurus, particularly when reaching 11 degrees of Taurus, has signalled the start of wars and disruption in The Crimea for many centuries. This has occurred in 2022, 1938, 1853. Uranus was discovered as a planet by Herschel on 13 March 1781, but had been observed previously, as late as 20 and 23 January 1769 by Pierre Charles Le Monnier, when Mars was as 11 Taurus, and during which year Uranus also reached 11 Taurus.

It is even thought that Tycho Brahe's observation of 20 November 1589 may have been of Uranus, a time that placed Chiron at 11 Taurus.

In the chart shown here, the inner chart is of the moment that Uranus was discovered by William Herschel in 1781, while the outer shows the time in 1769 which is when Uranus was last observed by Pierre Charles Le Monnier.

19380312 Anschluss and WWII

Anschluss, the annexation of Austria by Hitler's Germany, was another event that occurred with Uranus at 11-ish Taurus, and that led to war in Ukraine as part of WWII.

8 May 1937 Uranus reaches 10 degrees Taurus again. Just before this was Guernica, Picasso painted his picture of that atrocity just afterwards.

7 July 1937 In the Marco Polo Bridge Incident, Japanese and Chinese forces exchange fire near Beijing, beginning the Second Sino-Japanese War. Was this the true beginning of WWII?

13 October 1937 Germany, in a note to Brussels, guarantees the inviolability and integrity of Belgium, so long as the latter abstains from military action against Germany.

Uranus last in that sector on 28 April 1938.
