Brian Price and Susan Tetrault were found axed to death in their bed at a property in St Alphonsus Road, Clapham on Sunday 13 July 1986. Theirs is one of many unsolved murders, and nurmally would make a case for the crime pages. However, Brian and Susan were a romantically involved couple, as well as being partners in crime, smuggling and distributing cannabis. They had met some 10 years earlier, but had been arrested in 1982; both serving time in prison. Susan had been out for perhaps a year, but Brian only recently released at the time of their murder.

Police still have no clue as to who, or why, but possibilities include rival smuggling enterprises, possible unpaid debts, or even someone obsessed with Susan and jealous over Brian's reappearance.

What we can be sure of is that Brian and Susan were made for one another. That alone should place this example in the Relationships category, despite that their grisly murder says otherwise, and that Crime makes a more fitting category.

Death of Brian Price

The death of Brian Price looks tantalizingly linked to the various smuggling crimes, gong back many years. However, we don't even know the actual dates of those events, only what they may have been. So, really, we can't draw any conclusions from those previous events. All we can do is look at the day their bodies were discovered and see what that tells us. What it does suggest is that their deaths were much more linked to Brian, rather than Susan.
